Japanese scientists from the University of Kumamoto have developed a medicine that can destroy cells infected by HIV infection, the media reported.

Experts called their method “lock-in and apoptosis” (blocking and natural death) and considered it much more efficient than previous studies, during which the drugs used suppressed HIV only for the time of their use.

“We have created a” lock-in and apoptosis “mechanism that will allow people with HIV to get a chance for a full recovery and a normal life. Our discovery will allow the world to defeat AIDS, “said study author Mikako Fujita.
